ProRisk has announced the appointment of a new executive director.

Hamish McDonald Nye will take on the role, joining from DUAL where he was southern region manager.

In his previous role, McDonald Nye was responsible for leading teams in Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania, and managing broker relations. He also spent time with Aon and Freeman McMurrick as a broker earlier in his career.

McDonald Nye, who has been in the industry for close to 15 years, said he believes he can make an impact on the underwriting agency.

“As leader of the ProRisk team, I will focus on further developing the company’s extensive team of underwriters operating across a broad range of products, create new products and solutions, and look to expand their broker network,” McDonald Nye said.

Jay Fereday, managing director of Insurance House Group, said that the appointment of McDonald Nye will help the firm grow over the coming years.

“His extensive knowledge of the industry combined with his passion and enthusiasm will help us pioneer strategies that will continue to grow our business and develop its presence in the market,” Fereday said.
