QBE Insurance Australia has called for suppliers of end-to-end heavy vehicle solutions across the country to take part in a request for proposal (RFP) to establish a heavy-vehicle repairer network.

The move forms part of the insurer’s broader strategic review of its motor-claims division.

“In line with our commitment to providing the best possible customer experience we have made the decision to launch a heavy-vehicle repairer network of preferred suppliers,” said Jon Fox, QBE executive general manager of claims. “This supply chain will help us to ensure our customers receive exceptional customer service, high quality and cost-effective repairs from suppliers we are confident can meet evolving customer expectations. We’ll choose the most suitable network of repairers through a comprehensive tender process based on their ability to provide repairs to heavy vehicles, their capacity to support all QBE’s distribution partners, and their capability to provide exceptional customer service.”

Repairers have until August 10 to register their interest via an online registration questionnaire.

Shortlisted suppliers will receive the RFP by August 13 and submissions will close on August 20.

The new repairer network is set to be launched in September.
