Hancock, the man behind the resetting of the performance agenda at Lloyd’s, will be moving to American International Group (AIG) to serve as chief executive of international general insurance. His appointment will see the industry stalwart come onboard the general insurance executive leadership team at AIG.

“I am pleased to join AIG as the company continues its remarkable progress towards being a top performing company,” said Hancock, whose credentials include two and a half decades spent at RSA

“I look forward to working with AIG’s talented colleagues around the world to enhance the value we deliver to clients as we position the company for sustained profitable growth.”

Hancock will be leading the international operations of AIG’s general insurance business.

“Jon’s deep technical expertise and significant international operating experience ideally qualify him for this important leadership role.”
