Ryno Insurance has sold future rights of its motor portfolio to Dawes Underwriting Australia.

Ryno said transferring its motor portfolio’s future rights to a well-established specialist motoring underwriting agency meant brokers could continue to access market-leading motor insurance products. Dawes’ motor products are all underwritten by Allianz Australia Insurance.

From October 01, Ryno will no longer provide new business quotes and renewal terms for motor policies. The specialist division of East West Insurance Brokers also said that it will manage endorsements and cancellations for existing motor clients until policy expiry dates.

For new business quotes for motor, brokers should email Dawes or access Dawes’ Xccelerate system. For renewals, Dawes will offer to arrange and issue new policies to customers meeting Allianz’s eligibility criteria.

Ryno said it would continue to offer its liability, property, and accident and sickness products (underwritten at Lloyd’s) to its broker network.
