Sedgwick had been recognized as part of the Diversity Council of Australia’s Inclusive Employers for 2023-2024, an annual list that celebrated organisations that fostered and led the way for diversity and inclusivity in Australia.

“Sedgwick Australia is honoured to be listed as an Inclusive Employer for 2023-2024,” said Diego Ascani, Sedgwick Australia’s CEO.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in its workplace is part of Sedgwick’s strategy and initiatives, the firm said.

“Our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is integrated throughout our business in hiring practices, professional development, talent and performance processes, engagement efforts and diverse benefits to drive a positive impact for our colleagues,” said Ascani.

“The focus is clear; our commitment is to continue to ensure our colleagues represent the diversity that exists in the world and have created a welcoming and inclusive work environment,” he said.

As a global provider of technology-enabled risk, benefits, and integrated business solutions, the firm’s DEI-driven strategies were focused on the development of a diverse and equitable workforce with an inclusive culture in order to foster the growth of its business and employees and also improve outcomes.

“Creating a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion has always been a core focus at Sedgwick, and we remain committed to fostering a welcoming workplace environment where everyone has a sense of belonging,” said Tracey Chapman-Marks, director of colleague resources – Australia.

“We understand that having a diverse workplace and an inclusive culture drives diversity of thought and together we can achieve great things for our colleagues, clients and customers. This is one of the many ways we live our ‘caring counts’ purpose, and we appreciate this recognition of our culture.”

In selecting organisations for the list, the Diversity Council of Australia used the data from the Inclusive Employer Index, which was a survey it had developed to measure the diversity and inclusion experiences within the workplace.
