A familiar face at Sompo International Holdings has been tapped to serve as an executive director.

Christopher Gallagher, who came onboard in 2015 and is currently the chief risk officer and group actuary of Sompo International’s commercial property and casualty business, is boosting the specialty (re)insurer’s board in his new role effective immediately.   

A Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK, Gallagher is experienced in providing insurance and actuarial advisory services in the London insurance market. He also worked at a property and casualty carrier prior to moving to Sompo International.
