Two industry players – a general insurance underwriter and a digital insurance claims management company – have been recognised at the Australian Business Awards (ABA) 2017.

Now on its 12th year, the awards recognise organisations that demonstrate business and product innovation, technological achievement, and employee engagement.

QUS Pty Ltd has been recognised as a Winner for Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards 2017. The EOC accolade recognises organisations which have developed leading workplaces that maximise the full potential of their workforce through practices that demonstrate effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.

Claim Central Consolidated (CCC), meanwhile, has been honoured with the New Product Innovation award for the research and development of LiveLogik.

LiveLogik is a live video-streaming solution that enables a desk-based claim assessor to gather critical and relevant information by seeing the video, photos, and audio live-streamed by customers or field staff. This accelerates the claims process, lifecycle, and cost for insurers as well as providing a better service experience for policyholders.

“We are thrilled to be recognised for our achievements in the research and development of LiveLogik,” CCC CEO Brian Siemsen said. “As pioneers of live video streaming across the Asia Pacific, we’re constantly innovating and looking for new ways to improve LiveLogik’s capabilities for our clients and their customers.”

QUS GM Craig Hodgson also commented on the company’s award, saying: “This award provides important recognition of the organisation’s commitment to recruiting, developing, and retaining high performing talent. As an organisation we believe the brand of our employees is equally as important as our company brand. We have invested heavily in working with all our employees to develop and promote their own brand and expertise in all things strata insurance.”

Tara Johnston, ABA Awards program director, commended the winners of the Australian Business Awards, saying they “are proud to acknowledge the role of these leading corporate, government, and non-government organisations for implementing innovative, well-managed, high-performing business initiatives and for the research and development of their innovative products and services.”
