Allianz reshuffles board

Allianz SE has appointed Oliver Bäte to CEO while chairman Michael Diekmann will stand down on 6 May 2015 at the Annual General Meeting.
Bäte will continue to be responsible for global property and casualty up until the AGM, when Dr. Axel Theis will take over.
He has also been appointed to board of management at Allianz and will be in charge of the global industrial insurance, credit insurance and insurance in Ireland and Great Britain.
 
Gallagher Bassett’s national risk manager wins award

Gallagher Bassett’s national risk manager Andrea Kanserski has won the Risk Management Institution of Australasia’s Risk Manager of the Year 2014.
The award recognises individuals who excel in the management of risks for their organisation.
Kanserski said: “I’m extremely honoured to be receiving this award. It’s a testament to the outstanding outcomes Gallagher Bassett achieves and the corporate governance framework that supports every decision we make.”
 
XL Group reinsurance CEO to retire

XL Group’s reinsurance segment CEO Jamie Veghte will retire from the business on 31 December.
The company has begun searching for a new reinsurance leader.
XL’s CEO Mike McGavick thanked Veghte for his “two decades of service and stewardship of XL” and said the team he had built up will continue the success of the franchise.
