Global advisory, broking, and solutions company Willis Towers Watson
has announced the appointment of Darren Oliver as national manager, workplace risk.
In a statement, the company said Oliver will bring expertise in the corporate market, having provided strategic workplace advice to public and private companies.
Chris Nelson, head of client and industry Australasia, said that the appointment of Oliver will bring "considerable benefit," to clients and help boost the "already strong market presence" held by the firm.
Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson
, Oliver was founder and managing director at people insurance and employee benefit specialist company Thomas James International. He also worked as head of practice at Aon, responsible for providing strategic workers’ compensation and work health and safety solutions.
Oliver said in a statement that Willis Towers Watson
is in a unique position in the market thanks to the merger of the two brands.
