A specialist Lloyd’s coverholder has announced a new appointment in its accident and health (A&H) division.

Carlos Ghiselli (pictured), formerly senior underwriter of A&H at AIG Brisbane, has taken the role as head of A&H in Woodina’s Brisbane office.

Ghiselli succeeds Suzie White, who established Woodina’s A&H department last year. White recently moved to Canopius to head up the A&H side of the company’s new Australian operation.

“We feel very fortunate to have an underwriter the calibre of Carlos to replace Suzie White,” said Michael Wood, chief executive of Woodina. “Not only does Carlos have the A&H insurance expertise but he has a very strong reputation among the same specialist brokers who have shown support for Suzie. Suzie left to Canopius very much with our blessing and Carlos will be continuing our working relationship with Suzie as a principal capacity provider at her new home.”
