Moore is currently the head of personal lines underwriting at Zurich in the UK, where he has end-to-end underwriting responsibility across personal, high net worth, and marine craft insurance.
In his new role, Moore will play a significant role in driving the insurance giant's goal to deliver expert solutions for its commercial insurance customers across all segments.
Matthew O'Sullivan, chief underwriting officer for general insurance at Zurich Australia and New Zealand, has welcomed Moore to his new role.
“As a qualified civil engineer with over 11 years [of] experience with Zurich across various senior underwriting roles in property and real estate, Evan brings both strong technical and leadership capabilities to the role,” O'Sullivan said. “We are excited to welcome him to the team.”
As part of his promotion, Moore will relocate from the UK to Sydney in January 2023 and commence his appointment on February 13, 2023. His appointment follows Zurich's appointment of a new chief information officer for Australia and New Zealand.
