Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) has partnered with Australian zero-emission truck manufacturer SEA Electric.

The partnership will enable Zurich to provide SEA Electric with risk engineering and resilience services through the Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) team of over 800 risk engineers, including pre-purchase advice, risk assessment services, and driver training.

It will also allow Zurich customers and brokers to access SEA Electric's expertise and experience as commercial fleets transition to zero emissions.

ZRS provides specialised insights and tools – above and beyond insurance – to help companies in various industries manage traditional and evolving risks to become more resilient. It provides services across the following domains:

  • Climate change resilience;
  • Supply chain risk; and
  • Cyber security.

SEA Electric welcomes partnership with Zurich

Zurich is highly respected within the industry, and [its] offering will complement, enhance, and complete the acquisition of SEA Electric vehicles.”

Launched in 2012, Australian-based SEA Electric specialises in commercial vehicle assembly and full electrification. Since its establishment, the company has released several models of medium and heavy-duty commercial electric vehicles globally and locally – from delivery and garbage trucks to school buses, shuttle buses, and passenger vans.
