Life insurance start-up iExtend has welcomed industry expert Kevin Goss to its advisory board.

A former insurance executive, Goss (pictured) joined iExtend from MLC Life Insurance, where he served as national manager for debt protection and partnerships and regional manager for bancassurance (direct and digital).

Previously, Goss was the head of adviser distribution for retail advice at CommInsure, where he managed the sales and support teams and led the company's business distribution strategy. He also served as the head of insurance retail sales at ANZ Wealth and the national sales manager for life risk at Zurich Financial Services Australia.

Goss brings further industry experience – along with continued independence, strong guidance, and over a decade of experience with several major insurers – to his new role at iExtend.

“We are delighted Kevin joins our advisory board, adding further bench strength to our existing advisory board members who offer incredible industry insight and bring years of industry experience to the iExtend proposition and to understanding how it fits into a regulated market,” said iExtend CEO David Sarkis.

Goss joined iExtend as it continues to consider growth opportunities and licensing options. He will work closely with fellow iExtend board members Geoff Lloyd, Peter Bobbin, and Rodney Payne.

iExtend entered the market in 2021 to address the gap in the life insurance market for policyholders cancelling their life insurance.

“iExtend has a valuable role to play in ensuring the sustainability of life insurance, particularly in challenging market conditions such as now where the cost of living and rising premiums are making it harder for clients to view insurance as an asset,” Sarkis said.
