Aon has appointed Adam Peckman as the head of Cyber Solutions for Asia-Pacific (APAC) as new exposures in cyber security arise from digital evolution.

Peckman, who has been with Aon since 2011, has held several senior roles in London and New York. He founded Aon's first cyber consulting practice in 2016 as the global practice leader, and his extensive experience includes corporate governance, enterprise risk management, security risk assessment and quantification, and insurance strategy.

Under Peckman's leadership, Aon expects its Cyber Solutions in APAC to bring together cyber broking, security advisory, incident response, and risk consulting capabilities across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.

Tracy-Lee Kus, head of commercial risk (Asia-Pacific) at Aon, said having an APAC-wide approach will provide clients with holistic cyber solutions to address pre- and post-incident, cyber security, risk transfer, and incident response.

“Our latest investment in the region reinforces Aon's leadership in this sector and will enable us to offer differentiated solutions to our clients that help them make better decisions,” Kus said. “We are thrilled to have Adam in the region and leading our continued growth in this market. The enormity of cyber risk has never been greater, and the biggest challenge organisations face is staying informed about the evolving cyber risk landscape. The threats vary widely by industry, size, and region.”

Peckman will retain his role as the global head of Aon's Cyber Risk Consulting practice to provide governance and strategic direction for cyber consulting resources in the Americas, UK, EMEA, and APAC.

Commenting on the appointment, Peckman said Aon's integrated cyber portfolio will empower its clients to build sustainable cyber resilience amid increasing volatility.

“There is nothing linear about cyber security, and every organisation needs an adaptive and ever-evolving model to approach cyber risk,” he said. “At Aon, we are building these capabilities – around our Cyber Loop model – to deliver more integrated solutions to meet the complex needs of clients. Our focus on strengthening collaboration across the cyber solutions teams in Asia-Pacific and globally will ensure we bring the best of our cross-functional capabilities to guide clients through the growing challenges of cyber security.”
