Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has strengthened its global marine and cargo specialty with the acquisition of OWL Marine Insurance Brokers (OWL), a specialist independent marine broker for hull and machinery and protection and indemnity insurance
Paul Knowles, CEO, JLT Specialty Europe, said that with the acquisition of the Hamburg-based specialty marine insurance broker, JLT now has a presence in three main ports of Europe.
“This acquisition follows a long and successful trading relationship between JLT and OWL Marine Insurance Brokers, a business that shares our client-first approach,” Knowles said. “OWL’s specialist expertise and ability to provide clients with tailored solutions will strengthen our global marine offering, as well as JLT’s wider market standing, network and reputation.”
