About Partners Life

Partners Life is a New Zealand-operated company founded in 2011. It very quickly attracted a 5-Star reputation (Lewers Life Insurance Benchmark Study), and acclaim as one of New Zealand’s leading Life and health insurers.

The fledgling start-up grew to become one of the largest Life and health insurers in New Zealand, and in 2022, won the ‘ANZIIF Life Insurance Company of the Year Award’.

Today, Partners Life is known for building highly effective insurance products for clients, championing independent advice, underwriting prudently, rewarding clients’ loyalty, and doing the right thing by our clients at claim time.

Partners Life’s attitude is about restless improvement: “Once we get a good idea, we keep building on it to make it better and better for our clients. We’re constantly tweaking, refining, changing, adapting, and improving. We say, ‘good enough isn’t good enough’.“

The company works closely with independent insurance Advisers to ensure clients get the right advice for the most suitable cover and benefits from well-designed insurance products that provide real financial support and relief at claim time.

Partners Life is 100% focused on helping to protect New Zealand families and businesses when they need it most.

The wide range of products including Life insurance, income protection, medical insurance, disability insurance, trauma cover, and business risk protection.

In 2022, Partners Life became a member of one of the world’s leading life insurers, Dai-ichi Life Group. Dai-ichi Life’s roots can be traced back to 1902 when it was established as Japan’s first mutual insurance company. Today, the larger Dai-ichi Life Group is one of the world’s largest life insurance groups. The acquisition helps Partners Life gain access to significant capital and global industry expertise to drive the business through its next phase of growth helping New Zealanders to ‘get life right’.

Partners Life is a diverse and inclusive company that champions individuality and innovation. Its main sponsorship strategy is geared to supporting organisations that share the company’s unswerving commitment to helping reduce the under-insurance gap in New Zealand.
