Agile Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Liz Geden as its new country head for New Zealand, just six months after she joined the company as a senior liability underwriter.
The promotion signalled the group’s investment in leadership aligned with its growth strategy and broker-first ethos.
Group CEO Robin Barham said Geden had quickly established herself as a key voice within the business, bringing clarity, strategic acumen, and a collaborative approach to leadership.
“Liz joined Agile with a strong technical background and has quickly become a key voice across the business,” he said. “Her ability to think strategically, connect with people, and lead with clarity and care made this a natural progression.”
In her new role, Geden will oversee Agile’s operations across New Zealand, bolster relationships with brokers, and spearhead key initiatives to support the company’s expansion. She brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with particular expertise in liability underwriting and an in-depth understanding of evolving broker and client needs.
“I’m excited to take on this new role at such a pivotal time,” Geden said. “Agile is a company that moves fast, values relationships, and encourages fresh thinking. I look forward to leading the business forward in New Zealand and continuing to support our brokers in meaningful ways.”
Prior to joining Agile early this year, Geden served Delta Insurance Group for four years as its casualty manager and team lead. She managed casualty portfolios and led underwriting work while managing broker relationships.
Agile Insurance Group operates across Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, backed by its own Lloyd’s Syndicate 2427. The group blends traditional underwriting with insuretech efficiencies, offering brokers a digital platform to expand e-commerce capabilities.
