Arthur J. Gallagher has announced the acquisition of a New Mexico-based insurance company. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Gallagher acquired Santa Fe, N.M.-based Reynolds & Rodar Insurance Group. The company, which has roots stretching back to 1882, is the oldest independent agency in New Mexico. It provides a full range of commercial P&C and employee benefits coverage. R&R president Jake Rodar and CFO Shona Rodar and their team will continue to operate from their Santa Fe and Taos offices.

Arthur J. Gallagher, based in Illinois, has operations in 34 countries.
