Financial Advice New Zealand elected Paul Sewell at its annual general meeting held on Monday.

Sewell will join Financial Advice NZ’s board as member director – financial planning/investment for a term of three years. He replaces Stephen O’Connor, who is stepping down after four years.

Sewell is a certified financial planner and director at Financial Advice Hawkes Bay Ltd. He has been in the financial advice profession for 25 years, with extensive experience in risk management and financial and investment planning. Prior to joining the profession, he spent seven years in the banking sector.

A founding member of Financial Advice New Zealand, Sewell has been awarded the Trusted Adviser Mark. He is a past chairman of Financial Advice New Zealand’s member advisory committee.
