A leading provider of education, training, and professional development services to the insurance and financial service industry has made a new board appointment.
 
The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has appointed Donna Walker, IAG’s EGM of broker business, to its board, effective March 01.

A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Walker has a wealth of insurance and actuarial experience. She chaired AIG’s diversity and inclusion action group for over three years and held various roles at CGU Insurance from July 1999 to August 2014. She also has experience in tertiary education.
 
Allan Reynolds, ANZIIF deputy president and Steadfast EGM NZ & Direct, said he was delighted by Walker’s appointment.
 
“I’m excited Donna will be joining the ANZIIF board, her experience in insurance and leadership as well as her passion for creating education pathways for young professionals in insurance made her a compelling appointee,” he said.
 
“She’s highly respected in the insurance industry, particularly in the broker community and we welcome her contribution at a board level.”
