Family owned Aussietravelcover has launched a new venture, Kiwitravelcover, into the New Zealand market with support from Allianz Global Assistance, extending their 12-year relationship with the business.

Kiwitravelcover will specialise in worldwide travel insurance for New Zealand residents travelling internationally or domestically as well as provide support for non-residents of New Zealand travelling to and within New Zealand.

General operations manager for Kiwitravelcover, Shannon Gereaux said: “Launching in the New Zealand market shows the industry how we are growing as a business and is an excellent way to demonstrate our years of experience.”

General manager Gavin Gereaux added: “Kiwitravelcover is tailored for the travel agency network. In a busy agency the product needs to be easy to read and attractive to the consumer.

“We look forward to building long term relationships with agencies all over New Zealand.”

The new venture is underwritten and supported by Allianz Global Assistance, one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest travel insurers.

Allianz Global Assistance chief sales officer Will Ashcroft said it was great to see Aussietravelcover expand and grow in the market.
