The Financial Services Council (FSC) Awards 2023 winners have been announced, recognising the standouts across the financial services sector in New Zealand.

The awards were presented during the awards dinner at the FSC Building Consumer Conference, the flagship event of the financial sector in the country.

AIA NZ bagged two wins during the awards night: excellence in sustainability practices and excellence in wellbeing and inclusion. Partners Life founder Naomi Ballantyne also took home the chairman’s award for service to the industry. The complete list of winners are as follows:

  • Contribution to community award – YWCA Tāmaki Makaurau, winner; Crayon, highly commended; and Mangere Budgeting Services, highly commended
  • Emerging trailblazer award – Angela Meyer, Mercer NZ
  • Excellence in governance award – Compliance Refinery
  • Workplace savings award – Mike Woodbury, Chapman Tripp
  • Excellence in sustainability practices award – AIA New Zealand ESG Strategy
  • Excellence in wellbeing & inclusion award – AIA New Zealand Whai Ora
  • Team of the year award – Whai Rawa - Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, winner; Asteron Life claims team, highly commended; and Mercer NZ The Table, highly commended
  • Chairman’s award for service to the industry – Naomi Ballantyne, Partners Life

“Congratulations to all the winners and finalists,” FSC CEO Richard Klipin said. “Their contributions to the financial services sector and wider New Zealand community have been recognised, and we are honoured to celebrate this achievement with them.”
