Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Jeff Summerville as head of Casualty, Financial & Professional Services in North America, effective immediately.
In his expanded role, Summerville will administer the North American Casualty business, in addition to his current responsibilities as the head of financial and professional lines.
According to a release, Summerville succeeds Robley Moor as head of casualty in North America. Moor was moved to Swiss Re’s sales organisation as a key account manager last summer.
Summerville has managed the financial & professional lines businesses in North America for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions since 2014. He has also overseen the expansion of the management liability, professional liability, cyber, and transactional liability businesses.
“Jeff’s considerable experience and proven success managing our financial & professional lines makes him an ideal leader for our casualty business,” said Swiss Re North America CEO Ivan Gonzalez. “I’m confident he will successfully continue to manage our strong market position across all casualty lines by optimising opportunities in the current market environment.”
Summerville has over 25 years of positive underwriting and managerial experience, focusing primarily on financial, professional liability, and casualty markets. He has an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Iowa.
