Insurance Business has published the results of its 2026 5-Star Claims special report, which identifies the top insurance claims carriers across Australia and New Zealand based on broker evaluations.
The selection process began with broker nominations drawn from Insurance Business’s national network. Insurers that crossed a minimum nomination threshold were then asked to submit documentation covering their claims operations, including service standards, turnaround times, dispute resolution processes, technology use, and broker support structures.
Researchers reviewed both numerical survey data and written insurer submissions. Scores were derived from broker ratings across defined performance categories, with additional weight given to service consistency and verifiable outcomes. Insurers that met the required rating benchmarks while also showing measurable performance in claims management, operational efficiency, and broker engagement received the 5-Star Claims designation.
