Direct Line for Business has appointed veteran marketing expert Claire Sadler as its newest marketing director.

Sadler joins the firm after holding the position of group brand director at BT, where she was involved in brand marketing and guardianship across the BT Group brands – BT, EE and Plusnet.

In her new role, Sadler will be responsible for leading marketing activity and will oversee the next phase of the brand’s “Winston Wolf” advertising campaign. She will also lead the marketing launches of its new personalised SME propositions, following its first launch into the hair and beauty sector.

Direct Line for Business is known for offering a range of insurance products to landlords, tradesmen, van drivers, and small-business owners, over the phone or online.

‘Claire’s stellar track record at BT together with industry-wide acknowledgement of her skills and expertise make her an ideal addition to our team. She understands the importance of managing agency relationships effectively and her experience in data analytics will be invaluable in evaluating campaign success,” said Direct Line for Business director Jazz Gakhal.

“As well as delivering an ideal technical fit with her expertise, Claire is also an experienced people leader who will help develop our in-house capabilities. Claire will play a vital part in our ambitious plans for expansion.”
