Etiqa Insurance Singapore has launched an own damage (OD) claims approval system which, according to the insurer, can finish the process in as fast as 30 minutes.
Etiqa said in a press statement that from a usual claims approval time of one to two days, it has been able to streamline its motor insurance process and greatly reduce its approval time, through its network of 22 authorised workshops throughout Singapore.
Upon submission of the necessary claims and estimated damage documents, repair claims of up to SG$5,000 can be approved in just 30 minutes, the insurer said. This allows vehicles to get back on the road sooner and minimises inconvenience for car owners.
“The motor insurance industry is a very competitive market, and we would like to offer our customers great value beyond a competitive price,” said Sue Chi Kong, CEO of Etiqa Insurance Singapore. “By speeding up the approval process, we reduce stress and provide better peace of mind to motor vehicle owners.”
According to Sue, the insurer and its partners recognise the importance of speedy service in a fast-paced society such as Singapore.
“Our authorised workshops are cooperative in this initiative and are looking forward to providing a seamless claims experience to our customers,” he said.
