Pet Insurance Australia has announced the winners of the Future Vet Kids Camp, a veterinary-inspired school holiday program for young pet lovers.

Winning the 2018 PetSure Scholarship were 10-year-old Emily Goudie from Avalon and 13-year-old Dana Alexander from Cooma, New South Wales.

As scholarship recipients, the two aspiring future veterinarians will attend the Future Vet Kids Camp in Sydney this January to get up-close and personal with creepy crawlies and the veterinary field and learn about wildlife and animal rescue.

Some of the educational experiences the program offers include taking blood, suture workshops, vet hospital excursions, handling animals of all shapes and sizes, and talks by veterinarians, behaviourists, and other animal experts.

“This is such a wonderful opportunity for [the] two children to experience this amazing camp for free on behalf of PetSure,” said Nadia Crighton from Pet Insurance Australia. “This camp is a truly magical experience for any child who is passionate about pets and showing in interest in the veterinary world. The participants of the Future Vet Kids Camp simply love the experience they have alongside other pet passionate kids.”
