Global brokerage Aon and the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) have opened submissions for the 2020 Aon Scholarship, offering an educational opportunity for an outstanding insurance professional.
“With an opportunity to analyse the key issues significant to our industry, our scholarship provides insurance professionals the opportunity to not only develop professionally and network with leading figures, but also help navigate our industry and inspire possible change,” said Robert De Souza, president APAC and CEO Australia and New Zealand at Aon Reinsurance Solutions. “This year’s topic of the industry impact of climate change in 2050 is a concern for us all and will create excellent discussion and debate.”
Now in its 16th year, the scholarship will enable the winner to attend the 55th Annual Aon Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar in London from June 22-July 02, to gain an invaluable understanding of the principles and practice of arranging reinsurance on a global scale.
“Every year we receive incredibly high quality submissions and I’m confident this year will be no different,” said Prue Willsford, CEO of ANZIIF and scholarship judge. The winner will have a fantastic opportunity to travel to attend one of the most highly regarded reinsurance seminars and we are proud to know that we will once again be giving someone a career development pathway to further develop their knowledge and leadership skills.”
Visit the ANZIIF website for more details or for a copy of the application form.
The winner will be announced at the annual Australian Insurance Industry Awards in Sydney on Aug. 27.
