360 Underwriting Solutions makes executive appointment

A Sydney-based underwriter has named a new executive hire.

360 Underwriting Solutions welcomed Margaret Rooks to its executive leadership team as head of legal, compliance, and company secretariat.

Rooks joins 360 with a wealth of experience, having worked in a variety of roles at major industry players, including Aon Benfield, Aon Risk Services Australia, Suncorp Group, and AIG Europe. Prior to this, Rooks practiced law with a number of law firms, including Sparke Helmore.

Rooks’ appointment comes as the agency is working to finalise the transition of a number of operational services that had continued to be provided by SURA during 360’s first year of operation.

“Given the climate that exists in the areas of risk and governance, finding a senior executive to lead this crucial function within the business was critical,” said Denis Morrissey, 360 Underwriting Solutions director.
