Insurance Advisernet has appointed Andrew Borden as its new general manager for the Southern Region.

Borden, who currently serves as executive director at 360 Underwriting, will commence with IA on March 4 and will be based in the company’s Camberwell office. Borden brings to the new role a wealth of industry experience, having worked with QBE and Vero in a range of state and national leadership roles for almost a decade.

Borden will succeed John Burke, who has led the Southern Region for the last 12 years. Burke will remain on the IA board as a director and unitholder representative.

“The timing of Andrew joining us is excellent, as he will have three months working alongside John learning all about our business in Southern Region and meeting all of our advisers,” said Shaun Standfield, IA’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand.

IA also announced that Mark Lee will now take charge of the Northern Territory.

Shaun Stanfield is listed as a part of hot list 2023 for insurance managers. See the full report here.
