The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) is now accepting submissions for the 2023 Making a Difference Awards.

The awards recognise insurance industry professionals who have gone above and beyond their duty to demonstrate exemplary professionalism in the work place and with their clients.

The awards event has six categories including reinsurance, booking, and general insurance, winners of which will be announced at the ANZIIF General Insurance Breakfast.

The categories also include claims, life, and underwriting insurance.

The awards were established as part of the institute’s Year of the Insurance Professional initiative, which honours individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their work.

The awards are a “fantastic way” to recognise “exemplary professionalism” in the insurance industry, according to Mark Silveria, general manager industry engagement for ANZIIF.

“By celebrating the success stories within our industry, we can continue to uplift our peers, highlight the great work we do and raise the profile of insurance in the community.” Silveria said in a media release.

“We encourage insurance professionals to enter, either by self-nominating, or nominating a colleague or peer who has demonstrated outstanding professionalism, commitment, achievement, and a genuine passion for the insurance industry,” he said.

The deadline for entries will be on 25 August.
