A major insurance brokerage has announced a new acquisition that enhances its employee benefits capabilities as well as the firm’s footprint in global benefits consulting and solutions.

Aon plc has revealed it has completed a deal for Mayfair Group’s international health and benefits brokerage portfolio.

Established in 1990, Mayfair Group specialises in the design, placement, and administration of international benefits programmes for Indian multinational companies, with offices in Bangalore, Manila, and Melbourne.

Tim Dwyer, CEO of Aon Health & Benefits Asia Pacific, said he was excited by the opportunity to expand the firm’s offering in India.

“Mayfair’s expertise with Indian multinational companies and their leading operational platform, combined with Aon’s world class consulting, analytics, and placement capabilities will create a powerful value proposition for Indian multinational companies,” Dwyer said.

Mayfair Group CEO Mike Chopra said they also look forward to offering Indian multinational companies and their subsidiaries distinctive solutions.

“We have been exploring opportunities to enhance our offering to clients, and Aon was the perfect fit in terms of global footprint, expertise and culture,” he said.
