Arthur J. Gallagher has welcomed a well-known and very experienced workers’ compensation insurance specialist into their national workplace practice.

Kevin Reed joins the firm's workplace risk, Western Region team, as principal – workers’ compensation, bringing with him 40 years of experience, including senior roles with QBE, Allianz, and GIO.

Reed was most recently underwriting and distribution manager with QBE, where he was in charge of national workers’ compensation underwriting and insurance broker relationships.

In his new role, which he will commence on July 24, Reed will oversee the delivery of workers’ compensation services in the Western Region, including NT, as well as provide specialist and technical advice and support to AJG brokers for WC placement, liaison, and relationships with insurer WC personnel, and overseeing delivery of WC claims and other WC consulting services.

Michael Morgan, practice leader (WA & NT), welcomed Reed to the team and expressed confidence that his appointment will complement AJG's capability in the workplace risk space.

“This is a strategic move for us, increasing our ability to service clients in WA and NT as well as providing internal consultancy for our core broking teams where they are looking to create value for clients and cost savings benefits achieved through restructuring their existing workers compensation arrangements,” Morgan said.
