Axis Underwriting has welcomed a new manager for its operations in NSW.

As head of Axis' NSW team, Andrew Mitchell, a technical underwriting specialist with more than 25 years of experience in Australia and the UK, is responsible for managing broker relationships in NSW and ACT.

He replaced Emily Walker, who took on a new role within Axis as national development manager.

Prior to his new role, Mitchell served as production and risk manager for NSW at Acerta. He also worked at Westfarmers General Insurance, Lumley Insurance, and Sedgwick Limited, an Edinburgh-based subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies.
