Brisbane-based Barry.Nilsson. has once again made it to the prestigious Doyle's Guide, with a record-breaking 24 individual solicitor listings and 17 firm listings across five insurance law categories this year.

The annual peer-review survey, that recognises leaders in various areas of law from around Australia, has acknowledged Barry.Nilsson's capabilities with 14 new listings and four improved listings on the 2016 results.

The firm listings are as follows:
  • Public and Product Liability Law Firms (defendant): Queensland, NSW, Victoria, SA, and Perth
  • Professional Indemnity Law Firms: Queensland, NSW, Victoria, SA, Perth
  • Medical Negligence Law Firms: Queensland, Victoria, SA
  • Dust Diseases Law Firms: Queensland, SA
  • CTP Law Firms: Queensland; NSW

The individual lawyer listings, meanwhile, include the following:
  • In Queensland: Peter Murdoch and John Sharman for public and product liability (PPL); Melanie Quixley and Rhett Kennedy, PPL and professional indemnity (PI); Mark Wiemers, dust diseases; and Robert Samut, medical negligence lawyers.
  • In NSW: Nicholas Andrew and Simon Black for PPL, and Peter Harvey, CTP Lawyers
  • In Victoria: Hubert Wajszel, PI; Nieva Connell, PPL; and Peter Ewin, PPL and medical negligence lawyers
  • In SA: Andrew Hilditch PPL and PI; Bronwyn Ackland, PPL, dust diseases, and CTP Lawyers; and Michael Fotheringham, PPL and PI
  • In WA: Toby Barrie, PPL and medical negligence
