Steadfast has appointed Bobby Lehane as CEO of the recently acquired CHU Underwriting Agencies.

One of the QBE agency businesses that Steadfast acquired last month in a $290 million deal, CHU specialises in strata-related insurance and Lehane will look to develop this offering when he takes the reigns on April 1st.

Managing director and CEO of Steadfast, Robert Kelly, praised the hiring of Lehane, noting that his experience within the industry should drive CHU forward.

“The appointment of Bobby is key to the ongoing success of CHU,” Kelly said.

“He has an impressive track record of building high performance teams, leading transformation and change, leveraging technology and delivering results. We look forward to working with Bobby to add value to and grow CHU.”

Lehane had worked for Zurich Financal Services in Australia for seven years previously in a variety of roles before taking on the position of EGM of their SME segment before moving on to the same role in the commercial insurance segment of the company.
