BT has just made the process of applying for life insurance simpler and more efficient for advisers and their clients with new enhancements to its online quote and application software, LifeCENTRAL+.

The enhanced LifeCENTRAL+ allows advisers and their support teams to share information online, apply online by clicking straight through from research software (such as IRESS), and complete applications with secure data feeds.

The personal-statement section of the application form has also been modified to allow advisers and clients to answer any relevant questions in the order they prefer.

Along with the launch of the LifeCENTRAL+ enhancements, until Dec. 16 at midnight, BT is waiving all Protection Plans policy fees currently applied on lump-sum cover (term life, total permanent disability, and living insurance) as well as any income-protection cover quoted and applied for in combination with a lump-sum policy. The policy-fee waiver is only available for new applications, and will apply for the life of the policy.

“The changes we’ve implemented reflect adviser business models, allowing information sharing between advisers and their support staff, streamlining the application process, and making applying for life insurance easier and more efficient,” said Kim Cohen, BT’s head of pproduct of life insurance. “We’re also waiving policy fees to coincide with these enhancements. We encourage advisers to register for the enhanced software and will provide further updates throughout the year.”
