Business analyst talent joins insurance tech firm

An insurance professional who has played a key part in underwriting start-ups overseas has joined the insurance team of a software company

Patricia Kleinhans, who has 17 years' experience in underwriting agencies and intermediates and retail insurers, has joined Gratex Australia as business analyst manager.

Kleinhans will lead a team of analysts servicing clients such as GT Insurance, Protecsure, Southern Cross Benefits Limited and PetSure Australia. Kleinhans will also be involved in consulting on projects for new and potential clients.

Her previous roles include head of insurance for a retail bank, general manager of operations for Hollard Insurance in South Africa - where she was involved in the start-up of Hollard and PetSure in Australia - claims manager for Real Insurance, underwriting services manager for Lumley, program manager for PetSure Australia and a management consultant at KPMG.

Most recently Kleinhans spent six years as a consultant specialising in project management, change management, product development and defining business systems requirements within financial services organisations.
