A global law firm has appointed a new partner at its insurance practice in Perth.

Jonathan Wyatt has joined Clyde & Co from Sparke Helmore, where he was also partner, bringing with him his expertise in professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ (D&O), general liability, and marine.

Wyatt grew up in Hong Kong, earned his qualifications in London and then worked for several years at Clyde & Co’s Hong Kong office. He has developed his practice in Perth since 2000.

Wyatt advises insurers, local and state governments (including their councillors and officers), and directors and other professionals on a range of issues. He also represents clients in the Federal Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

Commenting on his appointment, Wyatt said he is delighted to be joining a firm that matches his practice areas and is world-renowned for insurance and marine-related matters.

The appointment follows Tim Searle’s promotion to the partnership on May 01, also in the Perth office’s insurance practice.
