Cover-More has forged a five-year partnership agreement with Australian-owned and operated travel company Express Travel Group (ETG), in a deal that will allow the specialist travel insurer to offer its travel insurance policies and other benefits across ETG’s 700-plus agencies nationally.

Ari Magoutis, ETG’s executive general manager, welcomed Cover-More as one of ETG’s preferred travel insurance partners.

“As ETG has grown and evolved so has the demand for innovative product and technology,” Margoutis said. “The team at Cover-More have certainly met this brief, as well as their commitment to servicing our members’ requirements and expectations.

Michael Stein, Cover-More’s executive general manager of sales and distribution for APAC, said the national partnership is a recognition of the company’s “ongoing commitment to providing an outstanding travel insurance and medical-assistance product for travel agents to offer to their customers.”

“We recently launched new agency travel-insurance policies which feature many industry-first benefits, including [cancel-for-any-reason] CFAR cover,” Stein said. “Our policies also offer cover for new and existing mental illnesses, cancelled tours due to numbers, travel delay due to terrorism, new for old luggage, heli- and off-piste skiing, and new adventure sports.”

Cover-More will be attending ETG’s annual conference in Shanghai in November to celebrate the partnership and engage agents about their policy benefits.
