Ex-NAB exec joins APRA
A former executive at National Australia Bank (NAB) will join the prudential regulator's executive team on Dec. 4, bringing with him extensive finance experience in Australia and the UK.

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has appointed Mark Adams as executive general manager for the specialised institutions division. He replaces Ben Gully, who recently resigned from the role, citing personal reasons.

At NAB, Adams held a range of senior roles across a variety of business lines, including retail and business banking and financial markets for 17 years, before leaving to consult in the technology sector. Before that, he worked in the mining and oil industries in Australia and internationally.

“Mark brings to APRA valuable commercial experience across a range of business activities, and a strong commitment to serving the Australian community by ensuring a sound and well-managed financial system,” APRA Chairman Wayne Byres said.
