A major insurance broker has appointed a 20-year insurance industry veteran to a newly-created role based in Perth.

Chet Richardson has taken up the WA sales-leader role at Gallagher, to lead a team of insurance professionals in providing risk-management advice and insurance solutions to thousands of companies across the state.

Richardson joined Gallagher from insurer IAG, where he was most recently CGU state sales manager for WA. He also has experience in managing claims and underwriting teams at both CGU and HBF Insurance.
