Gallagher North Queensland has cooked up a storm for the Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia.

The broker’s group of 14 participated in the Townsville Hospital Feast with Friends Dinner Program, where they divided into teams of three or four and competed to create the best dish, with the Italian theme and critiques in reality TV cooking show-style.

There was no clear culinary winner, but about 40 family members of child patients at the hospital enjoyed a feast of pasta, pizza, spaghetti plus vegetarian option, lasagna plus vegetarian option, Caesar salad, garden salad, peach and pear crumble, and pavlova, as well some dinner-time chat.

“We all worked together well in our units and as a whole team,” said Karina Wilson, account executive. “Everyone loved it, especially sitting and talking with the families and getting involved with their stories. Giving back as a team and being in the community we’re here to serve really is the Gallagher Way in action.”
