Gallagher has expanded its regional NSW presence with the opening of a new Liverpool branch.

The move follows the acquisition of The Protectors Insurance Group, which is one of the few remaining heritage insurance brokerages in the Western Sydney area.

“The decision to join forces with Gallagher provides a range of benefits for our clients and our team, and the knowledge that we are building something great together for the future,” said David Michell, who will become branch manager of the newly established Liverpool branch. “Being part of Gallagher offers significant growth potential, particularly as Liverpool has been earmarked for development and with the locality of Sydney’s second airport this will no doubt attract opportunities into the future.”

“We’re delighted to welcome the Protectors team on board to our growing Australian team,” said Sarah Lyons, Gallagher chief executive for Australia. “This comes at an exciting stage of our journey where the Gallagher brand is being seen as a significant drawcard for clients, merger partners, and high-calibre talent. Gallagher has a well-established presence in regional NSW and this move further enhances the value we can bring to clients though expert advice and a high quality client experience.”
