GKA Investigations Group (GKA), an Australia-based engineering, forensic investigation, and construction consulting firm, has rebranded as Halliwell in Australia and New Zealand as part of its expansion plans.

The firm provides comprehensive loss consulting services to insurance companies, corporations, law firms, and government agencies.

As Halliwell, the firm will continue to provide fire forensics, factual investigations, and forensic engineering services across Australia and New Zealand.

Other changes

As an extension of Halliwell's US operations, the rebranded firm will develop new offerings across engineering and construction services in Australia and internationally.

Engineering services will offer engineering, architectural, and construction consulting services focusing on property damage investigations, failure analysis, and repair/replacement solutions. Meanwhile, construction consulting offerings will focus on project management, quantity surveying, building surveying, and reinstatement works services to insurance, government, and private clients.

GKA CEO Colin Taylor will continue to lead the business as Halliwell managing director, responsible for the firm's 20 specialists and business operations across five offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth and one newly opened office in Wellington, New Zealand.

“This is a hugely exciting move for us and one that will bring better outcomes for our clients in Australia, New Zealand, and across the globe,” Taylor said. “Joining the renowned Halliwell group of companies provides us with a platform to expand our offering in terms of service lines and international reach.

“Our team is at the forefront of fire forensics, factual investigations, and forensics engineering services, and we're excited to further build on this as Halliwell.”
