News coming out of Sydney today as IAG have announced that David Harrington, group executive of strategy and corporate development, has decided to stand down from his role at the end of March.

In a statement released today, IAG managing director and CEO Peter Harmer thanked Harrington for his work at the company and wished him the best for future. “David has been a central figure in helping us map out the corporate strategy we have been delivering against for the past four years and leaves at a time when we are well-positioned to enter our next era,” he said. “I’d like to thank David for his leadership, guidance and support. We wish him every success for the future.”

Harrington has been with IAG for more than eight years, first joining as general manager of the corporate office in its CGU business. Two years later Harrington moved from Melbourne over to IAG’s Sydney office, where he was made a member of the company’s group leadership team in 2015.
