The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) will host a two-day insurance event for policyholders who were affected by the catastrophic hailstorms that battered Sydney and other NSW communities late last month.

ICA will open an insurance recovery hub for those affected by the Dec. 20 storms on Feb. 5 and 6, from 8am to 3pm, to help them lodge claims, provide general insurance guidance, and manage lodged claims. The event will be attended by insurance-company representatives and disaster-recovery experts.

“The insurance recovery hub has been established to give people affected by the recent damaging hailstorm a central point to meet face-to-face with insurance specialists to discuss their personal insurance situation,” said Rob Whelan, ICA CEO.

To register, interested parties can visit www.disaster.org.au or call 1800 734 621.
