Insurance and Care (iCare) New South Wales has announced that its Risk Education eXpress (REX) training will now be delivered online through live and recorded webinars, podcasts, and “curated online educational resources”.

The move was in response to social distancing measures brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced iCare’s REX team to transition from a predominantly face-to-face delivery of its training.

In a statement, iCare said that more than 500 NSW government agency customers have since signed up to take part in a “selection of REX webinars designed to support psychological safety and well-being in the workplace during COVID19 restrictions, [while] a further 1,000-plus customers registered to receive the recording to view the session at a time that suits their schedule.”

“Over the past few weeks, we have transitioned iCare's mental health curriculum from predominantly face-to-face to an online format to meet the evolving needs of our NSW Government agency customers,” said Sharon Johnson, client education lead at iCare.  “This change, which was achieved remarkably quickly, ensures our customers have access to relevant education and support during this time of change and uncertainty to build skills to maintain our mental and physical health, as well as supporting this in our family, our friendship circles and our work colleagues.”
