Insurance Aid General Brokers (IAGB) has expanded via a “significant-sized” swoop.

Without disclosing financial details of the transaction, IAGB said it has acquired a largely SME-based portfolio from insurance broker Tony Charman. Formerly operated from the Sunshine Coast, the clientele is now serviced from IAGB’s Brisbane head office.

“We are excited with the new opportunity that this provides for IAGB,” commented managing director Andrew Hinz. “This new book adds further new growth to our current portfolio and compliments our service offerings perfectly.”

An Aviso Group partner, IAGB specialises in car, caravan, domestic workers’ compensation, home & contents, landlords, personal accident & illness, pleasure craft, and travel insurance.

Also pleased with the development is general manager & director Shane Risby, who stated: “Given the current situation, it was nice to have some news to be excited about and share with the team.”
