McLardy McShane has announced that it has raised $22,000 for charity thanks to its 11th annual golf day.

Insurance professionals got into the swing of things at Portsea Golf Club in Victoria last month to raise money for The Reach Foundation and Cure for MND Foundation.

With 130 golfers taking to the course the company was able to raise $22,000 from sponsors, insurers and clients.

Don McLardy, managing director of McLardy McShane, was delighted with the event and said that the money raised will have a great impact on the lives of those suffering with motor neurone disease.

“I’m thrilled to see how so many in the insurance industry are inspired to contribute to these causes. With this fantastic support, I am confident that these foundations will continue to have significant impact.”

150 guests also attended a CGU-sponsored dinner at the Hotel Sorrento where they were able to listen to speeches given by Ashley Clark of Reach and Neale Daniher, who spoke of his personal experience with MND.
